How to Write Cover Letter


Cover letter is a short, single page letter, to introduce yourself to an employer and gives them a TASTE of you. When you're trying to distinguish yourself among dozens or hundreds of other applications, below, career experts weigh in on the new essensial guidelines to writing a successful cover letter.
1. Keep your letter short enough for someone to read in 10 seconds.
2. Hook your readers interest in the first sentence.
3. Pick two or three skills from the job description and show you have them.
4. Don't just rehase your resume in paragraph form.
5. Address ypur cover letter directly to the hiring manager or recruiter.
6. Proofread carefully, and consider getting a second pair of eyes.
7. Customize your tone for the company culture.

How if we are fresh graduate? We should
1. Have good academic quality.
2. Show high enthusiasm and motivation, have the goal and reason why we should achieve.
3. Be communicative, initiative, dynamic, fast learner, can make decission and solve the problem without breaking company policy and leader.
4. Have many experiences related to academic major.
5. Keep studying from many resources.
6. Good personality to work in professional work environment.
7. Have someone to recommend.

Body of the letter
1. Beginning of the letter
If you know the name of the person to whom you're writing, use "Dear" (example : Dear Mr. Jackson)
Use "Ms." if you're not sure of the marital status of the female recipient (example : Dear Ms. Elena)
Use "Dear Sir/Madam" if you're in totally in the dark as to the name of the recipient

2. The second paragraph
Why should an employer be interested in hiring you? briefly describe your professional and academic qualifications that are relevant to the position. If the job was advertised refer to all of the required skills written there in.

3. The third paragraph
Emphasize what you can do for the company, not vice versa and outline a relevant career goal.

4. The fourth paragraph
Request actions, for example indicate your desire for a personal interview and that you're able to meet with the employer at their convenience. Some job adverts will ask you to include your salary requirements, you can choose to ignore this, opting instead to wait until the interview to talk about money, or include a board salary range.

5. Closing of the letter
Sign off your covering letter "Your sincerely" then dont forget to sign it. Write an enclosure line at the bottom.
